In 1953, Tenzing and Edmund reached Everest’s summit. Hillary took this famous photo of Tenzing, while Tenzing’s offer to photograph Hillary was politely declined. Their leader called it a collective achievement, though Tenzing later revealed Hillary stepped onto the summit first. 1080×1590
